Role Overview
AI81Works is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join the Platform team responsible for the deployment, management, and monitoring of machine learning models within the AI91™ platform. This role focuses on ML lifecycle engineering, library and model management, and ensuring scalable, reliable AI operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ML engineering practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of ML models, and strong experience working with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle including model training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
Develop and maintain scalable ML infrastructure and automation tools to support robust model management in production.
Own the management and versioning of ML libraries, models, and associated data assets across the platform.
Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to integrate models into production systems with continuous delivery.
Monitor model performance, conduct root cause analysis of production issues, and implement fixes and improvements.
Implement best practices for ML model governance, reproducibility, and security compliance.
Utilize Azure cloud services such as Azure ML, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps to orchestrate ML workflows.
Drive automation of operational tasks to streamline the deployment and scaling of AI capabilities.
Stay updated on ML Ops tools, frameworks, and emerging practices to continuously improve the platform’s ML operations.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Machine Learning Ops, ML engineering, or related roles focused on production ML systems.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Proven expertise in managing ML lifecycle workflows, model versioning, and data pipeline orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform, especially Azure ML, AKS, Azure DevOps, and related services.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Understanding of software engineering practices including CI/CD, code review, and automated testing for ML.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage complex, distributed ML systems.
Experience working in cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
